Kindergarten's Thanksgiving Feast
They made corn shakers...
clay pots...
placemats...
and pilgrim hats or indian headbands.
They had a Thanksgiving feast.
And pie!
Mrs. Zehr looks pretty thankful!

The 4th graders had a Mayflower Experience. They dressed as pilgrims and spent the day pretending to be on the Mayflower.

Our PBIS Celebration was a collection for our military troops in Afghanistan. Thank you to everyone that sent in something for the care packages! The boxes are full!
Mike Miller, a former Navy Seal, spoke to the students on the importance of getting things from home while deployed.
He talked about the differences between living in a desert and living in Illinois.

The students worked hard writing letters to the troops and decorating the boxes.

Each class was assigned to bring in certain items.
Miss Locke's class collected mouthwash.
Mrs. Lawson's class collected handwarmers.
Mrs. Simpkin's class collected Gold Bond Medicated Foot Powder.
Mrs. Minger's class collected Gold Bond Medicated Foot Powder too.
Mrs. Bachman's class collected chapstick.
